Join our Group on Curriculum21

Washington is partnering with West Virginia and New Jersey on a Longview multi-state grant on “Developing Global Competence in Students and Teachers.” The grant has funded “physical” visits to WV by the WA and NJ teams for their Go Global Institute in July and to WA by the WV and NJ teams for our Global Competence Institute in August. The teams will be visiting NJ later this fall to see the globalized curriculum units that teachers there have been developing.

So… the next part of the grant is developing a “Web 2.0 Presence” for Developing Global Competence. We are very fortunate to have the opportunity to work with Heidi Hayes Jacobs of Curriculum Designers, author of Curriculum21, to help guide us in this new adventure. And we just had a great conference call with her this morning.

To get us started in this conversation, and with the hope of bringing in more international voices too, Heidi has created a Group for us on the Curriculum21 Ning. We hope to have lots of collaboration here with our three states in the multi-state grant, but also states across the country and people from around the world.

Here’s how to sign up:

  1. Go to the Curriculum21 Ning:  http://curriculum21.ning.com.
