Summit Sponsors for 2004

The 2004 Summit is funded by a grant from the Asia Society and Longview Foundation as part of the National Coalition on International Education's State Innovations Grant Program, with in-kind sponsorship by many Coalition member organizations, including:
  • Associates in Cultural Exchange (A.C.E.)
  • Association of International Educators (NAFSA)
  • Facing the Future: People and Planet
  • International Education and Resource Network (iEARN)
  • John Stanford International School, Seattle
  • Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction
  • OneWorld Now!
  • Pacific Village Institute
  • University of Washington Language Learning Center
  • University of Washington Jackson School Middle East Center
  • Washington Association For Language Teaching (WAFLT)
  • Washington Council on International Trade
  • Washington State Council for the Social Studies
  • World Affairs Council Seattle - Global Classroom Program
  • YES! Magazine (Positive Futures Network)

All of these organizations and educational institutions have played a critical role in planning and presenting at the Summit. Truly, the event would not have been possible without their time and commitment. We particularly want to thank NAFSA (Association for International Educators) for providing the facilities at the Red Lion Hotel, in conjunction with the NAFSA Region I Conference, and for co-sponsoring the "Washington in the World" Reception.

Our special thanks go to Davis Wright Tremaine LLP for a cash donation of $1,200 and the UW Jackson School Middle East Center for funding transportation to make it possible for 40 high school student leaders from the OneWorld Now! language and leadership program in Seattle to participate in the Summit.
